Who Am I?
I am a husband and proud father of three, originally from Charleville in far western Queensland. Growing up, I played a wide range of sports, but Rugby League quickly became my passion—long before I realised just how many life lessons the game was teaching me.
After 15 years in the building industry, my wife and I purchased a tyre shop and relocated our family to Miles. During this time, I became increasingly involved in what would grow into a true calling: coaching Rugby League. I coached club teams from Under 6s through to senior men and had the privilege of leading several representative teams along the way.
When we eventually sold the family business, the combination of these experiences opened the door for me to work in Rugby League full-time. I was fortunate to hold roles within both the NRL and QRL, where I discovered not only a passion for presenting but also a deep appreciation for emotional understanding in sport and personal development. If experience is the greatest teacher, I’ve been lucky enough to learn plenty—and I’m committed to sharing those lessons with others.
While many people find public speaking intimidating, it’s where I feel most at home. Now, through my involvement with the New Athlete Project, I’m continuing to expand my skill set—combining technical growth with emotional awareness and reconnecting with physical and emotional capabilities I haven’t used since my teenage years.
I believe that genuine enjoyment of life creates the ideal environment for growth. Together, we can explore how we feel, why we feel it, and how to move toward becoming the best versions of ourselves.
